Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 June 2026

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how AdvocateDesk ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects information when you use our website and application. By using AdvocateDesk you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Account information: your name, email, phone number, and practice details such as bar enrolment, court and district that you choose to provide.

Content you create: the cases, documents, case facts, templates and drafts you upload or generate while using the service.

Usage and billing information: feature usage, credit activity, and payment records (payments are processed by Razorpay; we do not store your card details).

How we use your information

To provide and operate the service — generating drafts, OCR, translation, summaries, Legal Q&A and case management; to maintain your account and credits; to provide support; and to process payments.

AI processing

When you ask AdvocateDesk to generate, translate, summarise or analyse content, the relevant text (and, for OCR, the document image) is sent to our AI provider, Google (Gemini API), solely to perform the task you requested. This content is not used to train AI models.

Storage and security

Your data is hosted on Supabase (PostgreSQL). Row-level security isolates each advocate's data so one account can never access another's. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we apply reasonable, industry-standard safeguards.

Third-party services

We rely on a small set of trusted processors: Supabase (hosting and database), Google Gemini (AI processing), Razorpay (payments), Resend (email), and Cloudinary (file storage). Each processes data only to deliver its part of the service.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete individual cases, documents and drafts at any time, and you can request deletion of your account by contacting us; we will remove your content within a reasonable period, subject to any legal record-keeping requirements.

Your rights

You may access, correct or delete your personal information, and you may contact us with any privacy question or request using the details below.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date on this page.
